Just got the new MuteMath album titled “Odd Soul”. All I can really say is,”Wow”. I’m literally speechless. It is easily one of the best alternative albums I have heard in a long time! They are now one of my favorite bands. They aren’t to Arctic Monkeys point in my favorites yet, but they are pretty close. I’m really hoping they come out with a new single relatively soon.

I recently downloaded her first album, Born To Die. It is very good. It has a very 60’s hippy/folk vibe to it. I really like it and I’m glad that a girl has finally taken the spotlight in the indie world other than the girl from “Best Coast” who isn’t really in the indie “spotlight” per say…anymore.
I really enjoy this album and I’m counting down the days until she releases more work!

I heard this guy Gotye on SiriusXM radio the other day and I heard this song. I instantly became hooked. I went home and downloaded the whole album he recently came out with, Making Mirrors.
I thought that this wasn’t going to be that great of an album. I thought he would just have one really good song and the rest just being okay. Well he really proved me wrong. This is probably one of the best alternative albums released this year without a doubt. It has some rock, folk, blues, electronic, and even some soft rock.

Just found out about this band Young Dreams. They have a single out titled “Flight 376”. On the single which can be purchased in the iTunes store has a song called “Young Dreams”.
The song is extremely catchy and is a must have in my opinion. They somewhat remind me of the beach boys because they have a vibrant, happy, and summery sound. They also sound a tad bit like one of my favorite bands Real Estate due to the fact that they are hippy-esqe and have somewhat of a psychedelic sound.
I’m really looking forward to the release of the full album, because I have no doubts that it will be very well put together.

I’m not one of those computer nerds or anything, but I can’t say that I’m not going to miss you. I think that goes for most of the world. Your genius creations at Apple defined modern technology. Most people would say that your unique inventions are considered some of the most efficient machines created ever. I’m really sad even though I didn’t know you, That’s how much of an impact you made on this world.

I recently downloaded the album “Holy Ghost!” by “Holy Ghost!”. It’s amazing! It’s electronica mixed with alternative and it’s very new and creative. It kinda reminds me of the future, which is really creative. I think what makes it good is that it has electronic/techno beats with alternative vocals which is weird, but awesome at the same time. Not many other bands do this as well as “Holy Ghost!” which is why i like this so much! I can’t wait for their next single/album/EP comes out!
Coldplay’s new EP “Every Teardrop is A Waterfall” was recently released. I really like all the songs on it (all 3 of them). My favorite song on it has to be “Major Minus” it has a pop sound with a really fast pace and I like it a lot. I’ve been humming and singing that song just about everywhere I go. I really like this EP and can’t wait for the album to come out!!
I recently listened to “Sunset in July” by 311… and let me start off by saying it’s awful. I really don’t understand why it’s so popular. The only song by 311 I actually like is “Amber” and that is a pretty old song. I’m sorry If you disagree with my opinion.
